Measuring Your Head

please measure your head as follows:
Use a soft clothing tape measure (or a length of string to hold up to a tape measure) to determine the circumference of your head. Place the string or tape around your head. Usually at the widest part on the back of your head to a half inch above your eyebrows. Hold the tape firmly, but not too tight. Then put one finger under the tape on each side of your head (This allows for a comfortable fit with our western weight hat bodies). It can help to have a helper. Measure your head about where the hat will sit. A fingers width above your eyebrows and ears. Please do this twice to confirm the size you want. Size to the 8th of an inch if possible. If between sizes you can size up to the next size or find one of our half size hats marked with a +. The final fit may need to be adjusted using a tea kettle for steam or any local western store can help relieve any pressure spots.

Some heads are more elongated or described as "long oval". We have the ability to shape any hat to be long oval. If a long oval wearer buys a regular oval hat, the hat will not be comfortable and the brim will pull and wrinkle. Our hats are all round oval off our hat blocks. When ordering, please tell us if you want your hat to be made long oval. Please be aware that we do not accept returns on any of our custom one of a kind hats. Please be sure to measure accurately.
